Gender training for lecturers involved in the PEBL West Africa project
PEBL West Africa, a partnership which is led by The Association of Commonwealth Universities, supports academics and students across 12 universities in Ghana and Nigeria to build sustainable capacity for blended learning through expert-led training, collaboration, and the development of quality assured, credit-bearing blended courses.
During September 2022 to April 2023 INASP has been commissioned to provide gender training and follow u mentoring support to a set of lecturers involved in the project. The training and mentoring are conducted wholly online using a blend of asynchronous activities for participants to complete in their own time in between a set of live sessions. The training introduces participants to gender and gender-responsive pedagogy in relation to teaching and learning in higher education institutions. In the development of the training, we have drawn on our Gender Mainstreaming in Higher Education Toolkit and Gender Responsive Pedagogy in Higher Education Framework.
