Transforming Employability for Social Change in East Africa (TESCEA) is helping young people in East Africa to use their skills and ideas to tackle social and economic problems. We are now working to scale our approaches in more universities and countries.
Global research, vital for economic and social progress, remains largely inaccessible due to costly paywalls and inequitable publishing models. Better science diplomacy could help to provide the leadership necessary for real reform.
With just six years to go to meet the urgent targets of the Sustainable Development Goals, we need to find new ways to harness the power of science to address critical issues of human health, welfare and prosperity.
