Eleanor brings her rich experience in the digital space to the INASP board. She is the Director of Policy and Advocacy, Digital Inclusion at GSMA, where she provides policy and advocacy leadership for the Connected Women and Connected Society Programmes. Eleanor was the Deputy Executive Director at the Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI) for 7+years where she spearheaded public policy and advocacy efforts with over 21 governments and multilateral agencies.
Eleanor is a public policy expert with over 19-year experience in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Working at the intersection of technology, development, gender and digital rights, Eleanor believes in the value of original research in making a strong case for policy reforms . She’s been involved with research on affordability, digital taxation, digital gender audits. She’s also led reforms for national broadband policies and training for policymakers . Eleanor is passionate about digital rights and opportunities particularly for women in the global south.
