INASP comprises 13 staff, governed by a Board of Trustees, and advised by an International Advisory Panel.

Staff

Martin Belcher

Martin is responsible for the management and implementation of INASP’s ICT training and capacity development activities in the areas of ICTs and information use and management. This currently includes the PERii and the Bandwidth Management and Optimisation programmes. He joined INASP in 2001. Prior to that his background was in Web based systems development, GIS and archaeological research. Martin is a remote member of INASP and is based in Sweden.

Lucy cultivates the relationships with INASP's international publishing partners and negotiates free and low-cost access to e-resources on behalf of  INASP's partner and network countries.  Her role includes enabling sustainable relationships between partners, increasing awareness and use of e-resources and enhancing routes to access for researchers. She has many years of experience in working within a sales and marketing capacity in both commercial and not-for-profit publishing sectors.

Burnett, Peter

Peter Burnett

Peter Burnett joined INASP in January 2008 as Head of Library Development. A graduate in Russian and East European Studies, he has worked in the universities of Birmingham, Lancaster, Washington and Oxford. Between 1998-2007 he was Head of Technical Services at the Bodleian Library, with responsibility for automated library management operations across the University.  From 1994-2000 he served as Chair of George Soros' Open Society Institute Network Library Program, and has worked as a library consultant in parts of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.

Sioux Cumming

Sioux was a lecturer in Zimbabwe for 23 years and now assists in the Publishing Support programme, in particular, the Journals Online (JOLs).

Liam Finnis

Liam studied Mass Communications at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. After graduating in 2004 he lived in Japan and Australia, before moving to the UK in July of 2007 and joining INASP in early 2008. Liam has worked in a variety of areas, including both the education and charitable sectors, and has experience in journalism, television production and event managment.   

Caroline Good

Caroline Good

Caroline joined INASP in early 2007 to take up the position of Finance & Payroll Officer. Within this role she is responsible for the day to day management of the finance department including the payment and receipt of funds and the monitoring of forecasts and budgets.  Caroline has worked primarily in the commercial sector and spent some of her career within the professional accounting sector.

Sara Gwynn

Sara worked at the Institute of Physics Publishing during the transition from paper to electronic journals. This triggered an interest which led to research in universities in the UK, Australia and South Africa on the impact of e-resources on the research process and roles of researchers and librarians. During this time she also lectured in Information Systems and managed the production and launch of several journals. Sara joined INASP in 2002 on the ICT training component of PERI and is now coordinating INASP’s programme work in her role as Director of Programmes.

Sian Hodges

Sian joined INASP in 2008 and works closely with both the Finance Manager and the Information delivery team. In addition to working with INASP, Sian is currently running her own business as a driving instructor and works part time in a family business, doing the bookkeeping and various office administration tasks.  She has an International degree in English and Education which she undertook at the University of Wolverhampton and The Hogeschool in The Netherlands.

Tag McEntegart

Tag (Mary) McEntegart

Tag (Mary) McEntegart has been appointed as Executive Director to the Organisation, to start at the beginning of September 2007. Tag joins INASP from her Senior Lecturer post at the Centre for International Development and Training (CIDT), University of Wolverhampton. Her eighteen year experience in the context of International Development worldwide includes strategic and policy planning and in-country implementation, together with training skills and professional development knowledge.

Anne Powell - staff

Anne Powell

Anne worked as a librarian and library educator in Zimbabwe for 21 years before joining INASP in 2002. She works in Information Delivery, assisting country coordinators and librarians with access to electronic resources, with collection and interpretation of usage statistics and with raising awareness of the resources by researchers.

Rebecca Priestley

Rebecca Priestley is the Programme Officer for Programme Development at INASP. She works closely with the Director of Programmes on a variety of cross-cutting areas, including supporting the network of country coordinators and enabling peer exchange visits. After graduating in Modern Languages (French and Italian), Rebecca spent three and a half years in China as an English teacher and teacher trainer with the development organisation Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO), before joining INASP in 2006.

Trish Sheehan

Trish Sheehan

Trish joined INASP in 2005 and in her current role as a Programme Officer mainly works together with our partner country contacts in the organisation and implementation of ICT (Information and Communications Technology) training events. In addition to the UK, Trish has previously lived and worked in Ireland, Australia and Central America.

Julie Walker

Julie joined INASP as Head of Publishing Support in July 2007, having worked for a leading scientific publisher for eight years.  The remit of the role is to oversee the planning, development and implementation of the Publishing Support programme. She has lived and worked in Africa and Asia.
