African leaders urged to invest more in scientific research

Science, technology and innovation are the key drivers of development in today's world. For Africa, that means investing more money into scientific research. But are African leaders prepared to do so? Can world-class African scientists be mobilised for the continent's development? What about the role of African Diaspora capacity? Pius Sawa a journalist based in Uganda and Kenya talks to Prof Sospeter Muhongo, Professor of Geology at University of Dar es Salaam about these and some other pertinent issues.
