Bandwidth Management and Optimisation (BMO) workshops, March 2008 

Two Bandwidth Management and Optimisation (BMO) workshops at the Universidad de Cuenca, Ecuador:
1. Policy development workshop, 5-7 March 2008
2. Network traffic monitoring and technical management and optimisation approaches workshop, 10-14 March

Training on these two topics was presented at the Universidad de Cuenca to help address need for development of bandwidth in Ecuador. Participants included VLIR supported Ecuadorian universities including UCUENCA and ESPOL as well as the local NREN (CEDIA) and two participants from the University of Suriname. Following the workshop requests for further support have been received.  The workshops were facilitated by Dick Elleray of AfriConnect and Wisdom Machacha of the Catholic University of Mozambique.
