Visit Stand B10 to learn more about writing for publication - May 26, 10.30am
Emerald Group Publishing will be co-hosting a session with INASP and AuthorAID, a global research community that provides networking, mentoring, resources and training for researchers in developing countries, at the upcoming eLearning Africa Conference, being held in Tanzania, 25-27 May 2011. The session will take place on 26 May, 10.30-11.30 am at Stand B10.
The session will enable researchers and educators to get an international perspective on e-learning and writing for publication. Ravi Murugesan, the Training Coordinator and mentor in the AuthorAID mentoring scheme, will be available to answer questions on how researchers in developing countries can publish their work.
The initiative reflects Emerald's commitment to facilitating the global production and dissemination of research, and follows the recent appointment of Emerald's first African regional advisor, Helena Asamoah-Hassan, earlier this year.
Emerald also offers a number of African research awards, such as the Emerald/ALCS African Engineering Research Fund and the Emerald/AABS Case Studies competition (further information is available at www.emeraldinsight.com/awards)
eLearning Africa attracts over 1400 participants from about 80 countries, with more than 80 percent coming from Africa, it is the most comprehensive annual meeting for those concerned with developing e-learning capabilities in Africa.
Emerald representatives will be available at Stand B10 to offer further information about Emerald activities in Africa.
