Content Overview
The World Bank e-Library is an electronic portal to the World Bank's full-text collection of books, reports/working papers, journals and other documents on social and economic development. It is the most comprehensive collections in the area and it brings together, in PDF format, a fully indexed and cross-searchable database of 6,000+ titles, as well as every new title as it becomes available in print. In addition, subscribers have access to information not available in print. eLibrary is fully searchable by subject, region, keyword, title, author, abstract, or year of publication.

Registration Information
Each developing country institution eligible for access (
eligibility criteria, 38kb) is required to register to use World Bank eLibrary. If you have not used this resource before, you may need to check if your institution is registered and identify the contact person who has your access details. To do this, please go to the PERii registration system and select your country and institution.

IP Updates
Administrators may update their IPs directly from the World Bank eLibrary website as follows:
In order to update the IP addresses that have been registered for your institution, please follow the below instructions.
- From the eLibrary Home page, sign in with your administrator user name and password. (If you do not remember them, click on 'Forgotten your password?' or email us at onlineresources@worldbank.org and we will provide you with the information within 24 hours.
- Click on "Edit authentication options" (right hand side of the screen) and you will be able to manage your IP addresses and the shared user name and password access
- Make the needed changes and click on "Update"

Usage Data Collection
Administrators may request usage statistics (COUNTER-compliant) directly from the World Bank eLibrary website as follows:
- From the eLibrary Home page, log in with the Administrator user name and password for the account. If you do not remember your user name or password, please contact onlineresources@worldbank.org.
- Click on "Admin home page" on the right hand side of the screen
- Click on "COUNTER-compliant statistics" under the "Collection" section
- Select the type of reports you would like to receive:
- Book Report 1: number of successful title requests by Month and Title
- Book Report 2: number of successful section requests by Month and Title
- Journal Report 1: number of successful full-text article requests by month and title (includes working papers)
- Select the year the report should cover
- Enter the e-mail address to where the report should be sent and click on Submit
