Beyond Google: Advanced Internet Research

This three day training workshop was facilitated by Prof Peter Underwood of the University of Cape Town. Forty members of staff from the Parliament of Uganda, including researchers, librarians, ICT specialists and MP's personal assistants took part. The training aimed to enhance the ability of staff to find and use research information to inform Members of Parliament. Professor Underwood and co-facilitators from the parliament gave presentations and led practical sessions in the computer lab. In addition, a motivational talk was given by Ethan Musolini and Richard Lutalo of the Uganda Council of Science and Technology gave a presentation about Scientific Research.
