Changes in leadership

Staff departures and new arrivals: A message from the Board of INASP
After over four years as Executive Director, Tag McEntegart has resigned from INASP for personal reasons as of the end of 2011. As INASP enters its 20th year, the trustees would like to thank her for providing leadership to the organisation as it has grown in strength and stature.
The Trustees have accepted a proposal from Susan Corbett, who is an independent consultant, to advise the trustees on the future strategy and management structure for INASP. During the period of the consultancy she will have the title of "Acting Executive Director."
In addition, INASP announces that, after many years of invaluable contribution to the life and achievements of the organisation, Sara Gwynn has stepped down from INASP in order to pursue other interests. The Trustees are glad that Sara will continue, on a mutually agreed, project specific basis, to work with INASP, so that her extensive experience will not be lost to it.
The Board is also pleased to welcome Julie Brittain to the new post of Director of Programmes / Deputy Executive Director. Julie has many years experience in the management of library and information centres and programmes, and was based in Africa for 11 years and has extensive experience in other developing country regions. She joins us from the Institute of Development Studies, where her current role as Head of Library has included developing a series of global projects under the Mobilising Knowledge for Development Programme (MK4D). As Julie has already been collaborating with many of INASP's partners we are delighted that we have been able to attract someone with Julie's breadth and depth of experience to the post. Julie's role at INASP begins in January.
The trustees wish to thank all staff for their continuing excellent work and their support during this time of change and look forward to what INASP will achieve in its next decade.
