Journals OnLine (JOL) Editors Workshops
Please see below for details of editorial workshops which we held for editors of journals on the Philippines Journals Online (PhilJOL) and Bangladesh Journals Online (BanglaJOL) in 2008, and the Nepal Journals Online (NepJOL) and Vietnam Journals Online (VJOL) websites in 2007.
Philippines Journals Online (PhilJOL) Publishing Quality and Online Strategy Workshop, May 21-23 2008
This workshop was organised in collaboration with the Philippine Association of Scholarly and Academic Publishers (PASAP), National Book Development Board (NBDB), Ateneo De Manila University, De La Salle University Manila, C&E Publishing, and Asia Pacific College. The objective of the workshop was to introduce Philippine journal editors to the PhilJOL website. It was held at the Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines and was attended by about 25 editors and representatives from journals wishing to be included on the PhilJOL website. As well as learning how to load their content, the editors also learned about the online peer review system available on the website. Strategy issues concerning their online presence were also discussed.

Bangladesh Journals Online (BanglaJOL) Editorial Workshop, March 31-April 3 2008
An Editorial Workshop for editors of journals on the Bangladesh Journals Online (BanglaJOL) website was held in the Mathematics Department, University of Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The event was organised by the University of Dhaka and was attended by 20 editors and representatives of journals on BanglaJOL. They learned about the activities and responsibilities of an editorial office and how to use the online peer review system available on the BanglaJOL website in order to receive and process articles for their journals.

Nepal Journals Online (NepJOL) Editorial Workshop, September 2007
An Editorial Workshop for editors of journals on the Nepal Journals Online (NepJOL) website was recently held in Kathmandu, Nepal. The event was organised by Tribhuvan University Central Library and was attended by 20 editors from 10 journals, who learned about the activities and responsibilities of an editorial office. They also learned how to use the online peer review system available on the NepJOL website in order to receive and process articles for their journals.

Vietnam Journals Online (VJOL) Editorial Workshop, September 2007
An Editorial Workshop for editors of journals on the Vietnam Journals Online (VJOL) website was recently held in Hanoi, Vietnam. The event was organised by the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and was attended by 26 editors from 17 journals who learned about the activities and responsibilities of an editorial office. They also learned how to use the online peer review system available on the VJOL website in order to receive and process articles for their journals. VJOL was also officially launched at this workshop.
