Vietnam Workshops

Below are details of some recent workshops run by INASP and local partners

Licensing for librarians, NACESTI, Hanoi, 13-14 November, 2007

Negotiation skills, NACESTI, Hanoi, 15-16 November, 2007

Two workshops were run for selected Vietnamese librarians in conjunction with NACESTI and the Vietnamese PERI country coordinating committee. The first of these “licensing for librarians” aimed to enable better understanding of the issues associated with copyright and licensing of electronic information resources within Vietnam and how this may influence how they develop and deliver electronic information reader services.

The second workshop “negotiation skills” aimed at those librarians actively involved in the negotiation and licensing of electronic information resources, focused on enhancing the understanding and skills in the area of license and purchase negotiation of electronic information resources.

Participants at both evaluated the workshops highly and all felt that they would be able to transfer the skills to their work situation.
