Subject strengths
At its launch half a century ago, Mineralogical Abstracts, the paper fore-runner of MinAbs Online, focused on material of direct interest to mineralogists. It now covers a much wider range of material, of interest to material scientists, fine-particle scientists, environmentalists, health workers, as well as providing a comprehensive service to the Earth Science/mineralogy communities.

Service strengths

  • Abstracts are bespoke, i.e. written by a volunteer expert who has read the original paper.
  • Abstracts are linked to the original papers in many cases, by use of the CrossRef database.
  • Abstracts can be downloaded direct to your email inbox.
  • There is a comprehensive and intuitive search facility.
