Content in this service
CABI Compendia are encyclopaedic, multimedia tools that bring together a wide range of different types of science-based information. Each Compendium comprises information sourced from experts, edited and compiled by an independent scientific organization, kept up-to-date routinely and resourced by a diverse international Development Consortium. There are currently four compendia in the series - as follows:
Forestry Compendium:
Including information on trees, seed suppliers, pests and countries, and aids for species selection for planning trials, etc. Full details can be found here.
Crop Protection Compendium:
Including information on crops and countries plus pests, diseases, weeds and their natural enemies. Full details can be found here.
Animal Health & Production Compendium:
Focusing on all aspects of animal health and production including diseases, nutrition, husbandry and breeding. Full details can be found here.
Aquaculture Compendium:
An interactive database that draws together scientific information on all aspects of aquaculture production and health. It includes information on cultured species, diseases, technology, seed and grow-out management of inland freshwater, brackish water culture and mariculture. Full details can be found here.
Formats Available
The Compendia series is available through PERI as an internet service. All current content for all compendia is included within PERI.

Registration
Each institution is required to register to use CABI Compendia. If you have not used this resource before you may need to check if your institution is registered and identify the contact person who has your access details. To do this, please go to the INASP Registration Database and select your country and institution.
