African Journals OnLine (AJOL) Evaluation Report 2003-2005
The African Journals Online (AJOL) programme was formulated by INASP in order to raise the visibility of African journals and create a greater awareness of research carried out in Africa. In line with the original funding condition, the programme was transferred to African management in August 2005. Following on from the first evaluation conducted in 2003, this report examines the development and status of the programme to the end of 2005.
The aim of this report is to assess the development and status of the service at the time of its handover to African management in 2005. Particular emphasis is placed on providing detailed information to the participating journals.
