Haseeb Md. Irfanullah describes how the decision to publish the Bangladesh Journal of Plant Taxonomy through the Bangladesh Journals Online (BanglaJOL) had a significant impact on the quality and visibility of the journal.

One of the most notable changes after joining BanglaJOL was that the ratio of Bangladeshi to international authors had changed from 1:0 to 4:6... All our hard work paid off when the Bangladesh Journal of Plant Taxonomy got its first Impact Factor.

Haseeb has a wide range of experience in diffrent roles including researcher, editor and trainer with particular interest in research communication. He is a Team Leader at Practical Action Bangladesh and an AuthorAID mentor
