INASP Associate Ravi Murugesan and Capacity Development Approaches Officer Joanna Wild have been facilitating a workshop this week on “Enhancing AuthorAID embedding using Moodle” in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Ravi and Joana are closely involved in INASP’s online training initiative, the design as well as the delivery of online courses on INASP Moodle. Joanna was previously involved in the development of Learning Designer, a free online tool that helps educators think deeply about learning outcomes and design a training programme with a good blend of teaching-learning activities. Learning Designer is maintained by the Institute of Education in London. Ravi and Joanna used this tool to design the agenda for the AuthorAID workshop and then introduced it to the workshop participants.

The workshop, which took place between 23 and 25 May 2016, largely consisted of activities involving inquiry, practice and production, and it’s a visual corroboration of INASP’s learner-centred approach to training.

The workshop participants were a mix of experienced researchers and IT staff from some of INASP’s partner institutions in Ghana and Tanzania. For photos and news from the workshop, see the hashtag #inaspTZ.
