Putting Research Knowledge at the Heart of Development

INASP works with publishers to make their online resources available through national library consortia or equivalent bodies to meet the information needs of researchers. In a process mediated by INASP, consortia select appropriate resources for their research needs and limited budgets. Publishers then provide discounted (sometimes free) access through their own platforms. Resources are offered on a country-level licence to eligible not-for-profit education and research institutions.

We urge publishers to engage responsibly with our partner countries to support genuinely sustainable and effective access and we have written some principles about how to do so.
